1.1 Eligibility
League Member: All competitors must be a member of The Cushy Golf League.
1.2 Fee & Application
League Membership: There is no fee to join, you only have to fill out a online membership form.
Tournament Fee: All events will cost $100 which will include course, range balls, & cart fees.
1.3 Waivers
Assumption of Risk and Release from Liability: Upon applying to 'The Cushy Golf League' ('TCGL'), a participant will be required to electronically submit a waiver agreeing to release 'TCGL' from liability.
Rule Disputes: Upon applying to 'The Cushy Golf League' ('TCGL'), a participant will be required to electronically submit a waiver that states that the 'TCGL' has final say on all rule disputes and can not be held liable for any disagreements in regards to rule outcomes.
1.4 Points
Awarded Points: At each event there will be a total of 402 points available.
1st - 100 // 2nd - 60 // 3rd - 38 // 4th - 27 // 5th - 22 // 6th - 20 // 7th - 18 // 8th - 17 // 9th - 16 // 10th - 15 // 11th - 14 // 12th - 13 // 13th - 12 // 14th - 11 // 15th - 10 // 16th - 9
Points Allocation: Points will be divided amongst the top 16 finishers.
1.5 Divisions
Championship: o-5 Handicap // Playing Yardage 6,800 Max The 'Championship' division is best suited for low handicap players or players that think they have a low handicap. Prize money will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers. Top 25% finishers receive a refund of entry fee. (See section 2.2 & 2.3) Recomended handicap 0-5
Sportsman: 6-15 Handicap // Playing Yardage 6,400 Max The 'Sportsman' division is best suited for those low/med level handicap players. Prize money will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers. All divisions top 25% finishers will receive a refund on their entry fee.

Weekend: 16-25 Handicap // Playing Yardage 6,400 Max The 'Weekend' division is best suited for those mid/high level handicap players. Prize money will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers. All divisions top 25% finishers will receive a refund on their entry fee.

1.6 League Champion
Division Champions:There will be a league champion all three divisions.
2.1 Tournament Format
Regular Season: Stroke Play
Stroke Play: also known as medal play, is a scoring system in the sport of golf. It involves counting the total number of strokes taken on each hole during a given round, or series of rounds. The winner is the player who has taken the fewest strokes over the course of the round, or rounds.
Playing Playoff: A sudden death playoff to be played starting on hole 1 and going forward until a winner is determined.
Scorecard Playoff: A sudden death playoff matching scorecards starting on hole 1 going forward until a winner is determined.
2.2 Podium Finishers (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
Prize Money: Prize money will be paid out to podium finishers in all divisions (1st - 3rd).
2.3 Top 25% Finishers
Entry Fee: For all players who finish in the top 25% of the field, they will receive a refund of their entry fee.
Playoff: A 'scorecard playoff' will be conducted for the last position of the top 25% of the field.

3.1 USGA® Rules of Golf
USGA: All play will be governed by the current USGA® Rules of Golf unless stated otherwise in section '3.2 Special Rules.'
3.2 SPECIAL RULES
Teeing: Play will be played from the TCGL designated tees. Pink C/Championship • Teal C/Sportsman & Weekend.
Ready Golf: Play "ready golf" both on the tee and on the course except on the tee when your playing partner makes a subpar score on the previous hole.
Out of Bounds: Golf balls hit out of bounds shall be played like a ball lost in a hazard. The ball may be placed no more than two club lengths from the OB margin closest to where the ball came to rest with a one stroke penalty.
Hazards: Golf balls hit into hazards shall be placed no more than two club lengths from the hazard's edge, parallel to where the ball landed in the hazard (not where it crossed into the hazard). One stroke penalty. If there is a designated drop zone, hit from there. One stroke penalty.
Lost ball: Three minutes maximum to look for a lost ball. If not found, put a ball in play near where you expected to find the lost ball. One stroke penalty.
Stroke & Distance Penalties: There are no stroke & distance penalties but instead will be played like a ball lost in a hazard.
Advice: All competitors are allowed to share advice including distances, wind directions, course conditions, club selection, & shot line.
GPS & Yardage Finders: All GPS's and Yardage Finders are allowed.
Golfcarts: Are allowed. |
